sick day!

i totally had to stay home from teaching school today because i was sick. amazingly, cosmically, my friend joel mailed me a really sweet present that arrived on my door just in time for my day of sick-tivities....including watching classic comedies from my youth (including the Great Outdoors), eating toast in bed while watching classic comedies from my youth (also including National Lampoons Vacation), eating soup for lunch, taking a late afternoon walk and making a strange drawing of leaves and their shadows, and then playing with Joel's building blocks. Sick days are as amazing as I remember them, if not better, because there's no one bossing you around.[just kidding, if you're lucky, you still have someone who dedicates themself to taking care of you].
