Drawing the Dark pt II





this long weekend offered a much needed and appreciated breath of away time thanks to the invitation of Jesse Schlesinger to come down to Dirty Girl Farm just outside of Santa Cruz. It was a true pleasure to have a night out wandering the fields, picking strawberries in the dark for midnight snacks and in the misty morning for breakfast. Here's the second installment of my series of night time camping drawings.


It was a night of clarification and refocusing, and I realized a couple things, like what I'm meant to be

I also realized that I look like a professional surfer named Rob Machado. I went surfing the next morning and all these serious dudes kept calling out at me...one guy even asked to take my photograph. I assumed they were just making fun of me, but later realized that it was not the normal "Screech" references that my skinny frame and curly hair were stirring up...it was this guy:
